Born from Crisis.

COVID Comms was born in 2020 at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. What began with a single social media post from chairman Chris Vick quickly evolved into a nationwide volunteer network of more than 170 contributors in its first week.
This team produced multilingual, culturally relevant content to help South Africans understand COVID-19 and combat misinformation , demonstrating how skilled volunteers can mobilise at speed.
